MECHANICALLY POLISHED CONCRETE

A Premium Polished Concrete mechanically polished concrete floor is one of the longest lasting flooring options available.
During our process of mechanical polishing, we use water based solutions that emit zero volatile organic compounds [VOC]. We process the concrete to fill, smooth and harden the cement matrix, adding density to the surface of the concrete. This removal of voids, reduction in pore diameter and addition of density increases its resistance to abrasion. The introduction of a reflective surface will also salvage otherwise dissipated light, reducing requirements for artificial lighting

The variability in exposure, gloss and aggregate mix allow for an array of finishes to suit your desired aesthetic.

STONE EXPOSURE

When planning your mechanically polished concrete floor, the level of exposure will determine the depth of the grind required to suit you vision.
The four levels of exposure are:

Surface Polish - The visible surface is mechanically polished as-is.
Salt & Pepper - A minimal amount of small aggregates is exposed.
Random Exposure - The concrete is ground flat for a random distribution of aggregate exposure.
Full Exposure - The depth of the grind is deepest to unveil the maximum surface area of aggregate.

POLISH GLOSS

Every Premium Polished Concrete floor has an intrinsic strength to last. To suit the aesthetics and design of your project, the final sheen of the floor can be processed to three levels of gloss:
Low gloss / Matte - The lowest possible reflection achievable from our polishing process.
Gloss / Satin - The concrete is refined and polished to a reflective surface.
High Gloss - Polishing is continued to a reflection of high resolution and distinctness.
